Specto Studio Theater Production
Project involved designing costumes for a live theater production.
The story took place in 60's Italy, but the director wanted an art style that felt completely ambiguous and timeless.
The challenge was to design clothing that felt like it contained Renaissance, European, and futuristic sensibilities, while also not becoming too flashy.
The project also showcased a character that was the physical manifestation of Time.
The character would showcase different appearances throughout the play, ranging from a god-like collector of stories, to a clever trickster, and a non-descript man on the street.
Visual textures and colors served as unifying motifs to enable the audience to identify the character in his different forms.
